Likely of Continental origin, a very special antique Diamond ring in the traditional five stone 'half hoop' style, perfect as an engagement or anniversary ring. A resplendent display; these five old hand faceted Diamonds have that unique personality which we so enjoy; each gem uniquely cut reflecting the skills of the cutter and the crystalline shape of the natural Diamond to enhance their sparkle. Inspect our magnified photographs to see them close up as we do under the loupe, there are some natural Carbon inclusions in one of the end stones.
Nicely shaped to span the finger, the gallery shows the darkened patina of age which makes the Diamonds stand out but we can polish for a brighter finish if desired. Mounted in 18ct Gold with a warm pinky 'Rose' hue, the ring size is an 'L and a half' or '5.5' but we can alter a little. This piece sits nicely against a D-shaped wedding band.
The Diamonds measure at 0.25-0.35 each on a Schindler Gauge, making a combined carat of 1.50ct.
